Viper recently released one more single. “Timeless” comes after “Under the Sun” and “Freedom of Speech”, two appetizers of the successor of the album All My Life, from 2007, still without a release date.
The homonymous track from the upcoming album is signed by guitarist Felipe Machado, and dives deep into the band’s power metal roots, referring directly to the times of their greatest classics, Soldiers of Sunrise (1987) and Theatre Of Fate (1989), but with a clear look to the future.
“Time can devour you, embrace you, or just pass you by, but VIPER has gone through everything that time has given us. And here we are, always moving forward, always strong. The new record is amazing,” said bassist Pit Passarell when explaining the record’s title. Felipe complements: “It comes from some song. It was like this with “Soldiers of Sunrise”, “Theatre of Fate”, “Evolution”… to keep tradition, it will be like this with “Timeless” too. That song is a good summary of the sound of the album: fast, melodic, with a killer vocal. ”
The song brings Nando Machado doing special participation on the 4 strings, and also serves as another calling card of the lineup, which counts, besides Felipe and Pit, with Leandro Caçoilo (vocals), Kiko Shred (guitars) and Guilherme Martin (drums). As for the stages, the group kicked off its national tour by playing the opening act at Rock in Rio on September 2nd.
