Australian power/thrash metal veterans succeed ‘No Gods’ album, released in 2021

The Australian guys of Nothing Sacred are excited about their return to recording activities and have released new material. It’s the Leviathan EP, already available in CD format – in this link.
The record comes under the Rockshots Recods label and is a follow-up to No Gods, their first album in over 30 years, released in 2021. The band reveals that everything came out very quickly due to the anxiety caused by the great repercussion of the last record. And they tell more details below:
“The new release is another mix of new and old tracks that builds on what we did with “No Gods”. We think it takes it a step further – sacred fans will find a lot to enjoy,” the band adds.
Another new addition is in the line-up. Chris Stark retakes the reins as vocalist, replacing James Davies. Stark had previously sung with the band for a few years and has now returned in time to lay down the vocal tracks for this release.
Even though it is only an EP, it presents 6 really heavy, concise and spare tracks, watered with incendiary riffs, solos to match and great melodies, in a perfect mix between power metal and thrash. By the way, among the old songs is “Sudden Death”, a previously unreleased track that was one of the pillars of the band’s live performances during the 80s. Needless to say – and already doing so – it is the fastest track on the play.
Three years later, in 1988, Nothing Sacred released Let Us Prey on Cleopatra Records – curiously enough, a label then focused on goth. However, a year after the release of this LP, the band disbanded in 1989. Duly back and active, the line-up consists of guitarists Stu Bedford and George Larin, bassist Karl Lean, drummer Sham, and Chris Stark on vocals.
