Festival promotes unique chance for independent bands to perform alongside big names in rock and heavy metal

Summer Breeze Brasil has shown to be more than aware of its responsibility to encourage and promote the local rock and heavy metal scene. Along with the initiative of debuting the festival in the country, the festival organization in partnership with ONErpm Brasil has recently announced the Summer Breeze New Blood cultural contest.
It is a unique opportunity for Brazilian rock and heavy metal bands, from all regions of the country, to have the chance to perform at the festival alongside the mainstays of the style from all over the world.
To participate, the contestant must choose the best video of his band, of his best song, and submit it to the curators, who will be formed by experienced professionals of the scene. From all the material received, ten (10) bands/artists will be pre-selected.
Note: It MUST BE LIVE. It can be studio, concert, lyric video, but showing the band playing live.
After the pre-selection, the Summer Breeze Festival website will announce which bands have been selected, and there the fans will be able to vote for the 10 selected bands/artists and choose the winner. The band/artist with the most votes will perform at Summer Breeze Open Air Brazil on April 30, 2023 at the Latin America Memorial.
The material should be sent by e-mail to newblood@summerbreezebrasil.com with the band’s name in the subject line Summer Breeze New Blood.
In the body of the e-mail, inform
1. band name
2. city/state
3. style of music that fits in
4. a short summary of only three lines
5. The link to the band’s video available on Youtube.
6. A photo that does not exceed 1MB.
Please note that since this is an initiative of Summer Breeze Open Air Brazil to discover and promote Brazilian bands, only original material will be accepted.
WINNING BAND
• The winning band will be entitled to a special 40-minute concert at the Summer Breeze Festival

• Dressing room/ Catering for band and crew
• Accreditation for up to 7 people (band and crew).
• 1 pair of tickets – Summer Card valid for 04/30/23
• Recording an EP with 4 tracks at ONErpm Brasil’s studio
• EP release plan and press relations via ONErpm Brasil
• Other investments with logistics (transportation, accommodation etc.) and production are responsibility of the band.

After the 10 finalist bands are chosen and announced by the judges on March 20, the public voting period on the Summer Breeze website will be from April 21 to April 11. The announcement of the winner will be on April 14 on the festival’s official Instagram page.
