In a statement posted on social networks, guitarist will keep studio activities
By Luiz Athayde
Saxon veterans took everyone by surprise when they announced the withdrawal of original guitarist Paul Quinn from touring. As a consequence, the band has also canceled their scheduled shows in Brazil and the rest of South America, which would take place in April.
The news came through the group’s social networks, and reveals that the musician will step away from the stage, but his studio activities will remain intact.
In keeping with their tradition of releasing almost one album – or at least one phonograph record – per year, Saxon are preparing to release their More Inspirations on the 24th. It is an album of covers of bands like Nazareth, Uriah Heep, The Animals, and many others.
Their last full-length album was Carpe Diem, released in February 2022 by Silver Lining Music.
