Classic RPG adaptation hits theaters in April

The long-awaited feature film Dungeons & Dragons: Honor Among Thieves (title in Brazil: “Dungeons & Dragons: Honra Entre Rebeldes”) has received its final trailer, dubbed by Paramount Brazil.
As announced long months ago, this is a new live-action version of the famous tabletop RPG, which has also received versions for video games, one for the cinema in 2000, starring Jeremy Irons, and two others exclusively for DVD, in 2005 and 2012, directed by Gerry Lively.
This production is directed by Jonathan Goldstein and John Francis Daley and features Hugh Grant, Regé-Jean Page, Chris Pine, Michelle Rodriguez, Sophia Lillis, and Justice Smith in the cast.
Not only that, the directors revealed at Comic-Com 2022 in San Diego, California, that there will be several easter eggs from the RPG franchise, including generous references to the beloved 1980s animation Dragon’s Cave. One such scene features the characters Hank, Diana, Eric, Sheia, Presto and Bobby in a battle in a maze.
The following video doesn’t make this connection, but, even so, it’s already warming up the engines for its premiere on April 13 in Brazilian theaters. For the official trailer with subtitles, click here. Below, the version for Paramount Pictures Brasil.
