Soulspell pays tribute to Silver Blade with “Carpe Diem” cover

Project comes from a succession of versions for great and obscure heavy metal names

By Luiz Athayde

Soulspell is still going strong with their tributes. Although it counts 4 studio albums, the project of the drummer Heleno Vale has been showing itself as a machine of versions, especially during the pandemic. Kamelot, Avantasia, Savatage, Blind Guardian, and Dark Avenger were some bands that had songs under new reading of the Paulista act.

Now it is the turn of Paraná band Silver Blade to win a tribute with the single “Carpe Diem”, from their debut album Old And Real Thoughts, released in the distant year of 1999 by Megahard Records.

The production, mixing and mastering work are signed by Vale, and for the execution, the track had the brilliance of Kleber Ramalho and Hanna Paulino’s vocals; Fábio Caldeira (Maestrick, Edu Falaschi) on keyboards and orchestrations, Sérgio Pusep on guitar and Daniel Guirado on bass.
