American heavy/power metal band Jag Panzer have released a lyric video for their single “Edge Of A Knife”. The third before they release their upcoming studio album, The Hallowed, scheduled for release on June 23 via Atomic Fire Records.

The album features a conceptual theme about a post-apocalyptic future, but told from the perspective of animals. Unlike the previous tracks, “Onward We Toil” and “Stronger than You Know”, which speak of togetherness, this one focuses on despair and hopelessness.

On July 29th, a little over a month after releasing the album, the band embarks on a European tour through Germany, Switzerland, the Netherlands, and Belgium. At the end of September the group will play at the Blades Of Steel Festival in Wisconsin, USA.

Listen to the new single below:

Jag Panzer is a band formed in Colorado Springs, USA, in the class of 1981. Their first studio album, Ample Destruction, came out in 1984 on Iron Works, and only ten years later did the band release a new full-length. However, with the resumption of recording activities, the band has remained extremely active over the years.

The last strong point is the line-up, stable for 10 years now, although only having guitarist Ken Rodarte joining in place of Joey Tafolla in 2022 and Swedish drummer Rikard Stjernquist, who has been with the group since 1987. Harry Conklin (vocals), Mark Briody (guitar) and John Tetley (bass) retain the original core.

The Hallowed is available in CD, special edition LP, and combo formats including double gray splatter vinyl, CD, T-shirt, and autographed poster and card. Pre-order here.
